American Garage

American Garage is the American car shop founded in 2010 in Buggiano, in the province of Pistoia, with a showroom in Chiesina Uzzanese, in the heart of Valdinievole. Led by Valerio Torrigiani together with Marco Valleggi, the shop has stood out on the Italian scene with a unique specialty: building and restoring movie cars, the automobiles that star in American films and TV series.

The workshop covers mechanics, auto electrics and body work on US-made vehicles: pickups, vans, cars and even motorcycles. Alongside routine work on any vehicle, the team builds turnkey replicas or completes projects started by customers, with exclusive in-house components such as dashboards and monitors. The flagship project, the K.I.T.T. replica from the Knight Rider series built on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, was awarded at the 2014 Las Vegas Car Stars as the most faithful replica ever built, and completed a Coast to Coast run from New York to San Francisco across the United States, even passing US customs checks. The team also looks after the on-board domotics, programmable by voice command in several languages.

Beyond movie cars — one per year to guarantee top quality — the shop works on every kind of American car, classic and modern, and offers support to existing replicas, conversions of private vehicles, paperwork for single-type registration and ASI certification, plus sales of historic American cars. Experience gained also abroad makes the shop a complete partner for complex projects.

American Garage serves collectors and owners of American vehicles, production companies and enthusiasts dreaming of a movie car, and anyone in Tuscany looking for a garage able to follow an American project from purchase to registration. To discuss your project, contact Valerio and his team: phone, email and social channels are on the website.
